One note I would like to make is that we had a good turnout. Of the 200 people that showed up 90% were 4-wheel drive, 5% were Shooters, and 5% were Quad/Motorcycle owners. We need a much larger turnout of the members from the OHV other than the 4x4 clubs and members. Lets get involved! This notice went out 4 months before the event to all the AZOHVC membership. We need to do better than relying on the 4x4 groups to hold up the entire Arizona Off Highway Vehicle Coalition.

I was very happy to have the Maricopa Sheriff Dept. sitting next to me at the entry. It was amazing how nice everyone was as I turned them around (as shooting was closed for the day thanks to the BLM). Big thanks goes out to the Sheriff Posse and Search and Rescue for showing up in uniform to help out. I got one report that people were shooting in an area and quickly had 3 vehicles headed that way to enforce the no shooting ban for the day. Bottom line: This was a great event for the area and we will have the next Clean Up in that area on April 19th 2008. I hope we get a great turnout at this event also.
